No need to drive anywhere, no need to worry about social distancing – it all happens in the comfort of your own home… We’ll even bring the beer and cheese to you!

Additional Information
TECH REQUIRED: All you need is a laptop or tablet with sound, a built-in camera and high speed internet. You’ll get set-up instructions prior to the evening. It’s easy!
We deliver the beer and cheese in Cardiff and post/courier within the UK (we are unable to arrange delivery outside of the UK). Orders need to be placed at least 1 week in advance to ensure prompt delivery. (Check)

Limerick competition – The opening line for a limerick will be sent to you with your booking confirmation so you can submit your composition before the show. Host Ieuan Rhys will start the show by reading his limerick and Zoom chat host Sian Roberts will read out a selection of the entries during the intermission. The winner will be announced at the end of the show and will receive a voucher for 2 for the next Songs, Poems and Pints evening/beer and wine.

Songs, Poets and Pints requires a minimum number of 20 participants (homes, computers) in order to run. If the show doesn’t take place, we can reschedule for a later date or provide a 100% a full refund.

Songs, Poems and Pints team
Host – Ieuan Rhys (Actor/MC), Doctor Who, Pobol y Cwm, Da Vinci’s Demons, on TV and the big screen. His stage work includes Alan Bennett’s “People” for the National Theatre, many a musical including My Fair Lady, Oliver and over twenty pantomimes. Ieuan is a regular host at the Welsh Banquets at Cardiff Castle. He also works as a Loving Welsh Food guide – enjoying a job where he is paid to eat!

Performers – Phyl (Actor/Musician) and Mags (Harpist) Harries have been making music together for forty years. Mags has performed all over the world, Phyl has worked in theatre, TV and film. Theatre has seen him show his “Bottom” in Shakespeare, as well as performing in “Cyrano”, “Tom – the Musical” and “One man Two Guvnors” . Together Mags and Phyl run the Welsh Banquets at Cardiff Castle and have entertained thousands of happy visitors over the years from all over the globe.

Ffion Perrett. As a regular performer with choirs and orchestras surrounding her home town of Cardiff she has performed with The Pendyrys Male Voice Choir; The Barry Male Voice Choir; The Castell Coch Choral Society; The London Welsh Male Voice Choir and is very fortunate to have been asked back to perform with them. She has also had much success in National and Urdd Eisteddfods. Ffion continues to build her repertoire which already includes Classical Songs; German Lieder; Operatic Repertoire and Oratorio works including Handel’s ‘Messiah’; Fauré Requiem; Haydn’s ‘Creation; Bach’s ‘Magnificat’ and Mendelssohn’s ‘Elijah’ .
Sian Roberts – (Loving Welsh Food Owner, Tour Guide, TV Producer, Presenter and Announcer (BBC, S4C). Sian is the owner of Loving Welsh Food and has travelled all over the world promoting Welsh food and drink. Initially, we had to first of all tell people about Wales as a country – somebody once thought all of the products on display in our Wales Food Drink & mobile kitchen were all products from whales!
