Workshop

Welsh cakes are a delicious teatime treat and probably Wales’ most famous recipe. Traditionally cooked on a griddle/bakestone, called Pice ar y Maen or Cacenni Cri in Welsh.

The workshop includes a Welshcake demonstration and information about Welsh food heritage, our guests then cook and enjoy their own Welshcakes, guided by our Loving Welsh Food host. 

The workshop takes place in a beautiful chapel, Tabernacle, in the heart of Cardiff. Tabernacle is a Welsh-language Baptist chapel in The Hayes, Cardiff and is a Grade II* listed building

Available for groups of 8 and over ( maximum 40). 

Welsh cooking Masterclass with Nerys

Join Nerys in her fabulous kitchen for a Welsh cooking Masterclass and delicious lunch. Guests can choose a menu from one of Nerys’ 3 cookery books –Wales on a Plate, Welsh Food by Season or Harvest.

Nerys is a TV chef, broadcaster and Welsh food and drink specialist with over 30 years of experience. She is also the author of three bilingual cookery books which bring to life the traditions, lifestyles and cooking of Wales combined with Nerys’ more contemporary recipes based on Welsh produce.
